PADI Open Water Diver - eLearning

Are you having trouble finding the time to schedule your Open Water classroom sessions? Do you learn better at your own pace in an online environment? Would you rather do your classroom sessions in pajama pants in your home? eLearning may be the best choice for you for any of these reasons or more!

After enrolling online, PADI's eLearning system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace. The PADI Open Water Diver Course online offers students the freedom to work on the course whenever and where ever their schedule allows-- do a little bit on the train to work or after the kids are asleep. Since the program can be stopped and started as needed without losing any work, most students find the learning experience to be more compatible with their lifestyle. Also, since eLearning is a consolidated approach to learning, you'll master the information with less time spend reading, taking exams and sitting in a classroom-- 10hrs less time in most cases! Your purchase of eLearning from PADI covers your knowledge development training and gives you unlimited access to an electronic version of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual (course textbook). The eLearning course will be available for one year from the time of course registration. Though you must finish the online portion of the course within that time frame, you will have perpetual access to an online version of the PADI Open Water Diver manual.

After completing eLearning online, you'll meet with your instructor and take a short eLearning Quick Review to confirm your understanding of safety-related material from the course. You can also use this meeting to clarify any of your questions or pick your instructor's brain on diving in general.

You can complete the pool sessions of your Open Water class with one of our regularly scheduled classes or you can set up a private class.

What you need to buy:

eLearning online (per student, paid directly to PADI) $130.00*
Meeting with instructor, pool sessions and scuba gear rental fees:
Rental gear includes wetsuit, BC, regulator, weight and tanks
$150.00

*please check PADI's website to confirm the current price

You will also need personal gear (mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves) for your pool and ocean sessions - we've got packages starting at $139.45. If you're not ready to purchase your personal gear yet, why not rent? Some people find it more convenient to rent the first time to get a feel for the equipment. We understand divers who own their own gear are more comfortable and dive more so if you decide to buy your equipment during the class we'll credit you the full amount from that rental. Don't worry, we match internet prices too!

You will need to complete Open Water Ocean Dives at additional cost in order to receive your scuba certification.
