Have you been diving for a while and looking to improve your skills and try some new specialty activities?

Are you new to diving and ready to get some dives in, visit some new sites and meet a few new active divers?

Then this class is for you!

Take a weekend and do 5 different dives, completing the first dive of a variety of specialty dive activities like Deep Dives, Night Dives and more. You'll become familiar with what makes specialty diving fun and safe; as well as experience three or more dive sites!

Format:
Our certification is divided into three steps:

  • Pick any two of these: Boat, Nitrox, Search & Recovery, Underwater Naturalist and Peak Performance Buoyancy (there is no additional course fee or books required, just the specialty equipment listed below).

  • Study the Adventures in Diving Book or the online eLearning course: At your own pace complete the knowledge reviews for the deep diving, night diving and underwater navigation plus your two electives.

  • Ocean Dives: We'll spend a weekend in Monterey and Carmel diving 3 or more different dive sites that express the best of your specialty activity. Between dives we'll take in many of the top-side attractions of Monterey like shopping, the aquarium, seal watching and so on.

Cost:
We understand that your schedule may not allow you to do the whole class in one weekend so feel free to catch a few dives during each class we have scheduled.

Drysuit Specialty

Dry suits let you dive more challenging dive sites, and extend your dive season. When you have the right cold water scuba diving attire, you can stand up to the elements and take advantage of the generally better visibility offered by winter months. As a dry suit diver, you’re equipped to scuba dive some of the world’s incredible dive sites in the world’s cooler regions that are best enjoyed in a dry suit even in their warmer months.

Gain the knowledge and skills to safely don, dive with, doff and store a dry-suit. Get introduced to the different types of suits so you can make a very informed decision if considering purchasing a dry suit.
